The Ohau rivers

Sometimes you go tramping to reach the top of a mountain. Sometimes you aim to reach a lake, a glacier, a pass, or even just a neat hut. Other times you just spend a day exploring a really nice river valley and wondering why you don't do more trips that don't require slogging up a hill.
- Saturday (6 hrs 45 mins)
- 3 hrs 25 mins from Poads Rd to North Ohau Hut
- 2 hrs 40 mins to South Ohau Hut
- Sunday (7 hrs 25 mins)
- 1 hr 10 mins from South Ohau hut up to the Dora Track
- 1 hr 5 mins to Richards Knob
- 1 hr to Waiopehu Hut
- 3 hr 5 mins to Poads Rd
